Meet Jennifer Laloma, our Most Valuable Member for the month of February. Jennifer is an accounting major with a double minor in both Psychology and Business Management. She is a member of both the marketing and fundraising committees and has contributed extensively to the work of WIB. She describes why she wanted to be apart of WIB "I wanted to have a sense of belonging and be part of something. I also wanted to make friends and be with people who will bring out the best in me and WIB seemed to tick all the requirements."
She has a strong sense of self and knows exactly why she is this month's most valuable member "I came into this semester with the mindset that I wanted to do more and put myself into difficult situations and I think I have really opened up to more responsibility. I have reached out to those who can give me this and I think I have really shown that commitment to the club and to my roles." Jennifer also wants to continue to build up the organization. "I believe I am a very hard worker. If I am given a task, I will work until it is completed to the best it can be. Just dedicating my time and effort to make every event/ task the best can go a long way. This semester I am trying to get out of my comfort zone and suggest ideas to help improve the quality of experience one gets when they join."
She also is looking to the future for herself, the motto she lives by is "My papa always tells me to be true to who I am and people will see the good that he sees in me, so I try to be considerate and nice to all those who cross my path." After graduating from Baruch, she plans on completing her CPA and gaining enough experience to open up her own business. Her advice is "to work your hardest now so you can reap the benefits for the rest of your life". Jennifer continues to be a rising star by working diligently and collaboratively. WIB recognizes and praises her hard work and dedication.
