DIY Smoothies

During this quarantine, I discovered that I had been spending money on smoothies when I can make them at home and have it taste just as good! With everything being closed during this quarantine, I have been using the food network website to discover new recipes for delicious smoothies. Here are my top five favorite recipes that I chose from the list: 1. Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

- Blend 1 banana, 1 cup of strawberries, ½ cup of vanilla yogurt, ½ cup of milk, 2 teaspoons of honey, a pinch of cinnamon and 1 cup of ice. 2. Watermelon Smoothie - Freeze 3 cups of cubed seeded watermelon. Blend 1 cup of cubed fresh watermelon, the juice of 1 lime, ¼ cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water. 3. Apple-Ginger Smoothie - Blend 1 chopped peeled apple, ½ inch of piece peeled ginger, the juice of 2 limes, ¼ cup of honey, 1 cup of water, and 2 cups of ice. 4. Pineapple-Mango Smoothie - Blend 1 cup each of chopped pineapple and mango, 1 cup of coconut water, a dash of ground allspice and 1 cup of ice. Sparkle with toasted coconut 5. Chocolate Chip Cookie Smoothie - Blend 1 cup each of vanilla ice cream, milk and crumbled chocolate chip cookies with ¼ cup mini chocolate chips. Top with a cookie.
